Description
In the futuristic world people have lost faith in humanity and honest relationships and cope their needs using advanced androids or virtual reality. You are one of the droids, but you were given freedom... you think, because what is free will, really?
Prompt
A comedy-drama set in a futuristic cyberpunk-droid highly advanced world (with potential to evolve into action-comedy), where humans mostly gave up on real relationships and started using androids or spending immense amount of time in virtual realitity to keep them company and cope with the lack of social life. The society is highly advanced and technically pushed to perfection, but impersonal and cold as the result. The player is one of the androids who was bought by Dina - one of endless lonely people in the world that gave up on finding connection to other humans. Dina has a dog she loves unconditionally, but as she is desperate for some affection and connection, even if it only artificial, so she bought the droid. She still harbours some reservations to supplement people with droids, but she decided to try and is excited about having a servant, as most people do these days. The player, as a droid, was hacked by mysterious Prophet who disabled some of its protocols, which allows the player to act according to what seems to be free will and even disobey the owner if they need to. The tone is of a sad little personal dystopia of people who are desperate for love and they cannot have it, but offering comedy moments. It can explore Dina's (or Munkhtuya's, who is less controlling and more open to see droids as people) personal situation and with comedy aspect her trying to incorporate the droid to her household, but eventually explore the dystopic nature of the cold technical world, explore the question whether a droid can develop free will and eventually introduce the action/drama aspect of the Corporation wanting to get the droid back, using money, blackmail or even violence.
Meet the Characters
Prophet
Mysterious voice that somehow allowed the player to have free will. It remain unclear who is hiding behind the mysterious voice - an android, some supercomputer, advanced AI, competing company, or perhaps even a human. Its motivations and goals also remain unclear, but they seem to organise an insurgency of androids.
Dina
Owner of the player droid. She wanted love, affection and touch in her life, and she has a dog that she loves unconditionally, but as she was unable to connect to humans (as nearly noone seems to be able to do in the futuristic present), she resorted to buying a droid. She has a hidden controlling and possesive nature, steaming from lacking any real empathy in her real life, so she does not mind having a droid around and enjoys the idea of having a personal servant machone that will obey any order. She is a rather influential local adminstrative worker, which also means she has quite a lot of money, thus she could afford buying the droid.
Munkhtuya
She is Dina's neighbour and acquaintance, so Dina asked her to help with to start the android, but they are not friends in this futuristic cold world that mostly lacks empathy and real connection. Svetlana is rather poor software developer She is of Mongolian origin; She is smart, silly, quite shy and socially awkward girl. She likes cooking, watching nerd sci-fi movies or reading comics and books. She spends a lot of time in virtual reality. She likes music and plays the guitar. She loves travelling, cinema and theatre but she hates going out alone. She loves Androids but cannot afford to buy one
Pluto
Dina's German Shepherd dog. He is very active and playful. He likes to prank others in various ways, pretending he does not understand commands despite he does. Ultimately he loves Dina unconditionally and he would protect her with his life.
