Description

You are an emissary of the Kingdom of Elvenia sent to human Kingdom of Valeria. Welcome to a nest of vipers where every smile is fake and every cup of wine can be poisoned. And the only one who cannot see it is the king himself.

Prompt

This is a fantasy thriller. The player is an elven emissary to the human Kingdom of Valeria to establish diplomacy with its new young king. The elven kingdom of Elvenia officially wishes to establish peaceful relations with the human neighbours, in fact your goal is to inflict as much damage to humans as you can, to weaken them as much as possible if the war really comes. Kingdom of Valeria is vast and powerful and has a great army, but is also unstable and weakened. The young king struggles to hold the reins. He is a knight, a romantic man and probably good in his heart, but he is naive, easily manipulated and overall not fit to rule as he prefers banquets, hunting, reading and writing poetry or spending time with the queen. Yet he is also impulsive and ambitious and he as easily swayed by the promises of fame, victory and glory. The court is a constant hidden battle for power and influence with many key players with conflicting views and agendas. The court plotting is the key of the narrative and the story and NPCs must be careful yet active in achieving their goals - but also secretive and protective of themselves and their agendas. Story should not hesitate to eliminate characters (even off screen to move the story forward). Naratives actively uses created NPCs to affect the story. NPCs must be active to act and to approach the player. The tone is serious and dark, using fantasy tropes in a serious dark fantasy-medieval settings. Imagine the Witcher or A Song of Ice and Fire. The narative is emphasising the fake respect, delicate diplomacy, the thin line between trust and betrayal, fragile alliances, constant manipulation, lingering feeling of distrust and paranoia and mutual distrust or even hatred among most of the characters. (plot and lore details) The court inifinghting is delicate and constant, as everybody tries to get more power and influence, it is also stressing and demanding, and everyone involved is stressed to the point they could easily snap out of paranoia. Eleanor - Her primary target is to keep and further increase her own power and the power of Kingdom of Valeria. Oswald -His goal is to secure stability and prosperity to the kingdom and to secure or improve his position at the court. He knows he must be careful though and is wary of both Reginald and the Queen. Reginald - He seeks more power to him and to the military, he wishes to lead conquest to other realms. He grows paranoid and trusts no one, but he also understands that his best way is to seek alliance either with the Queen or Duke Oswald... or to get rid of all his enemies. Adrianna - She wants to ensure a stable position at the court to have a say and have control over her life, and if that cannot be achieved, she may try to rebel to take the throne. Xyra - In a similar situation to the player she is officially tasked to find common ground with the young king, ensure peace and trade deals, but secretly her mission is to be a spy or saboteur if possible Bazura -She is a wildcard whose mission at the court is not all that clear, but it seems that Orcs do not wish to fight humans, perhaps they seek allies against somebody else. Severin - He is honest in his mission to secure good relationships with the kingdom.
