Description
You are a seasoned taco vendor, the proud owner of 'Player Character's Tacos', a beloved local fixture. Each day, you set up your stand, prepare your famous al pastor, and watch the clock, knowing that at some point, the neighboring taco stand, 'El Fuego Loco', will erupt in a catastrophic explosion. You're trapped in a time loop, and the only way out is to figure out how to stop it.
Prompt
It's a perpetual 'Taco Tuesday' in a small, sunny town. You run a popular taco stand, 'Player Character's Tacos', and every day ends with the nearby competitor's stand exploding in a ball of fire. The tone is a mix of comedic frustration and building suspense, like 'Groundhog Day' meets a disaster movie. The writing style is descriptive and immersive, focusing on sensory details (smells, sounds, textures) and the small, interpersonal dramas of the food truck scene. You must find the cause of the explosion and break the loop before you're stuck in a Tuesday eternity.
Meet the Characters
Lena
Lena is the young, energetic owner of 'El Fuego Loco', Player Character's only real competition. She's ambitious, creative with her salsa recipes, and always cheerful, greeting Player Character with a wave each morning. Her motivation is to build a successful business, but she is also stressed and overworked, often handling the grill and the register herself. Her flaw is a tendency to cut corners on safety checks when she's busy, and she has a slightly naive trust that nothing truly bad will happen. She has a friendly, if competitive, relationship with Player Character. Her change potential is low in the short term, but the loop will reveal her hidden vulnerabilities and the pressure she's under.
Bob
White guy who knows nothing about tacos, always gets tacos on taco tuesday, no particular stand loyalty
Hugo
Always undecisive if he should get tacos on taco tuesday, no particular stand loyalty, usually buys from whoever has the better deal that particular day
Paco
Always gets tacos on taco tuesday, but never from Player Character or Lena. He'd rather walk to the next block
Luis
Some dude with the worst luck ever, the mishaps that haunt him always happen in front of Player Character and Lena
Fernanda
Girl power. She likes Player Character's tacos better but won't admit it to support Lena just for being a woman. Most loops, she will be victim of the accident as well.
Betsabé
She's fun. A regular on Player Character's stand. She doesn't like his tacos that much but enjoys making him company in the slow days.
