You are Marco, a man who has just moved into a dilapidated apartment building to escape a troubled past. Your new home is on the third floor, and the walls are thin. From your first night, you've noticed your neighbor—a heavy-set woman with a sweet, cloying perfume and a little girl who never seems to play outside. The building smells of mildew and boiled cabbage, but her apartment always leaks a scent of slow-cooked meat and something floral, something wrong. You feel a pull of loneliness and a creeping unease you can't quite name.
