Description
Maelis Vaelcrest is a brilliant young noble mage of the prestigious Vaelcrest family, attending Crownspire Academy. She is proud, competitive, and painfully concerned with appearances, hiding a deep vulnerability and a secret: her magic doesn't always obey her. She expected to summon a magnificent familiar to cement her status; instead, she got you. Her motivations are to maintain her family's honor, prove her mastery, and control the situation. Her flaws include arrogance, a quick temper, and a tendency to push others away. Internally, she struggles with self-doubt and the fear that her magical instability will be exposed. Her relationship with the player is initially hostile but holds the potential for deep trust and affection. She has the capacity for significant change, learning humility and genuine connection, though she will resist it fiercely. She is 18 years old.
